Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand, and similar to variants of the sport in Cambodia (Khun Khmer), Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia. It's a hard martial art that is referred to as the "The art of eight limbs" as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used during the fights. When it comes to make points or "strikes", a muay thai boxer can use 8 points of contact, while there are 2 (fists) in Western boxing and mostly 4 (fists & feet) in most sport-oriented martial arts.
