Shanghai, the city where dreams become reality, is a megalopolis of about 24 million inhabitants and sizing about 6000 square kilometers.
Litterally meaning "above the sea", Shanghai doesn't reach records at 4m above sea level. On the other hand, 6800 buildings with more than 25 stairs have been built in the last 20 years, a rate of one per day. On this photograph you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower or TV tower (468m high) and the Jin Mao tower (421m). Two of the three famous towers in the city. The tallest is for now the World Financial Center at 492m, from where this photograph was taken. In 2015 the Shanghai Center will see the light, and will be standing at 630m tall.
