The city of Guanajuato in Mexico came to me as a pleasant surprise! Small pedestrian streets, going up and down at a height of 2000m, busy roads underground, colourful and well maintained architecture... And not to forget: the "Enchiladas mineras" of Doña Lupe! Guanajuato counts about 180 000 inhabitants and is/was famous for its silver mines. For 250 years it has, and is still extracted in the mines around the city. "La Valenciana", the most famous one used to be accounted for 2/3 of the worlds' production.
The are various points of views up the hills around the city, and even after being up four times in three days, the first visit was one of the bests with more interesting clouds in the sky to create more contrast. As well as a part of the city being lit up by the undergoing sun. I very much like the three dimensions of the photograph: foreground, middle ground and background. Hoping you like it as much as i do!
