Description
The red eyed tree frog or Agalychnis Callidryas can be found in the tropical rainforests of Central America, and is most common to be found in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. According to the area the frog lives, its colours can be slightly different, and as there are different species of red eyed tree frogs, there can be some little differences. Their strongest asset is camouflage: during the day the blue side colours are hidden by the back legs, and the red eyes are shut. At night they become hunters, usually coming back to the pond where they were born. Photographed in Tortuguero National park, Costa Rica.
