Description
The NCPA or National Centre for Performing Arts has become one of the emblematic symbols of modern China in Beijing. The building conceived by French architect Paul Andreu contains three major halls for opera, theatre and concerts with a maximum capacity of 5425 seats. The construction took seven years, from december 2001 to december 2007. Titanium and glass were used for the exterior part, while the interior is covered in rosewood. Apart from this, colourful marble from every corner of China cover for the floors.
