Chile - Desert Sunset

The Atacama desert in Chile is widely known as the driest non - polar desert in the world. Some weather stations in the desert have never recorded rainfall. Atacama has a surface of 128 000km2 from the Pacific Ocean to the Andes mountain range. As you can see there can also be clouds in Atacama, which is quite "abnormal", but very nice to photograph the sunset. Usually pink and purple colours can be seen at sunset, but with the clouds, an array of colours appear. The highlight of the landscape is the Licancabur volcano at a height of 5920m, and marking the border between Chile and Bolivia.
