Description

Hello dear watchers, again time for a little news flash, as i'm moving again to work to another country! After 8 months in China, 3 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia, my new assignment is Thailand. I'll leave Cambodia tomorrow and fly to Bangkok. The day after, already starting with a new tour group with 26 Belgians. So, my next 12 days will be quite busy. Four years ago i've already worked in Thailand, and been there many times since then... But working there again doesn't make me happy at all. I even asked my company to send me anywhere in the world except there. For one reason: i won't be the boss over the group, but the Thai guide will. People that studied 3 months to have a license, have little knowledge about their own history, and are obviously thinking they are much better at everything than foreigners. Let's say i will have to bite on my teeth to shut up at some moments... And knowing myself, it will be too hard. I'm even thinking to go back to Belgium and leave the job.

At least i'll have positive ideas about what i did over the past three years in Cambodia, China and Vietnam... But not sure it will be enough to work until february in Thailand.

So, you must be wondering what this place is: the Bayon temple, centre of the last Khmer capital Angkor Thom (Big Capital). And no, it wasn't cold to wear a scarf, it is about 33-35 degrees here... But it's the traditional way for Khmers to wear the Krohma, to protect themselves from dust, sunshine, and also dry the skin from sweat drops.

Have a nice day everybody! And take care!

S.

PS: As with other personal photographs, this one will soon be buried in the scraps.
